December 2012 – Present

Many developers often use HTML code to present ASCII characters in order to ensure that they appear on different browsers and platforms. There are plenty of websites out there listing this code in charts and table. When you’re in a rush to typeset text, no one wants to comb through a long page looking for the HTML code for the copyright symbol!

I decided to create a small and convenient search engine to find code for the most commonly used ASCII characters. It makes use of a SQL database and PHP scripting.

Currently, I am working on an drawing extension where the user will be able to search by drawing the character using a mouse or touch screen device. It will be something similar to Shapecatcher.
